MAYOR RENTSCHLER VISITS ISO-CHEMIE TO VIEW PROGRESS OF COMPANY’S EXPANSION

Shortly before the construction work was completed, Mayor Thilo Rentschler visited the site to view the current status of the ISO-Chemie expansion project in Röntgenstraße, Aalen. This investment is intended to future-proof the family-owned company’s site, so the planned expansion concept is being implemented systematically.

The progress made since last year’s ground-breaking ceremony at the ISO-Chemie site in Röntgenstraße is already impressive. The result of the largest expansion in the company’s history is a three-storey building. Rapid growth over the past few years has made this extension a logical consequence. It represents the first instalment in a total investment of 50 million euros in multiple construction and transport infrastructure measures that will ultimately double the size of the company’s location.

From 2021, the new building will offer the urgently needed space to expand production facilities, extend the training centre and provide additional storage capacity. In the future, green production methods will be used to manufacture joint sealing strips and other sealing products in order to improve the building’s energy balance. The company will thus actively help to save energy.

ISO-Chemie has been developing, producing and distributing innovative foam products for a wide range of different markets and purposes for more than 40 years. Its core business concentrates on building sealants and the development of technical foams. Despite being a medium-sized company, ISO-Chemie is the market and technology leader in this field.

The company expansion will allow further growth, in terms of both quantity and quality. As a technology-oriented company, ISO-Chemie has successfully applied for more than 50 patents in association with sustainability and energy conservation for building seals. According to Dr Martin J. Deiß, managing director of the family-owned company which is environmentally audited and certified, “This investment in new production facilities and the systematic upgrade to innovative methods will allow us to set new standards in terms of the overall energy balance of our products and systems.” His father added: “It will make us fit for the future.”

Roll-out of this major construction and transport infrastructure project here in Aalen started by meeting the conditions set out by the city and community councils.

For this reason, the mayor of the city of Aalen, Thilo Rentschler, wanted to visit the site to find out how the project was progressing.

Accompanied by senior managers, the company’s commercial trainees and the architects, the mayor enjoyed an extended visit to the site together with business development officer Felix Unseld. “ISO-Chemie is on track for growth, and is making the most of the opportunities that are available to a family-managed company, allowing it to stand out from the competition. For us, business development means that the Aalen city administration provides advice and support to help local companies to develop“, said mayor Rentschler as he looked out over the building’s green roof, which is also home to two beehives as part of the local sustainability initiative. “I am impressed with the dynamism with which the company is implementing its plans”, he continued. He also received an exclusive insight into the company’s product world. One highlight of the tour was a visit to the studio used specially for the “Digital Exhibition” webcasts.
