NEW PUR SPRAY FOAM: FOR A HEALTHY LIVING ENVIRONMENT, NO TRAINING REQUIRED AND LOW IN FREE ISOCYANATES

ISO-Chemie is pleased to present a new 1-component polyurethane expanding foam with a low-monomer recipe for a healthy living environment. With its very low free isocyanate content, ISO-TOP THERMFOAM „BLUE LINE“ is especially healthy to use and can also be used without training after 24.08.2023.

User-friendly

With a free isocyanate content of less than 0.1 %, this new product from ISO-Chemie’s „BLUE LINE“ sustainability series is an interesting alternative to conventional PUR spray foams. According to the European “REACH” chemicals regulation, users of PUR spray foams with a free isocyanate content in excess of 0.1% will need to be trained in their safe industrial or commercial use from 24 August 2023. With its very user-friendly composition, ISO-TOP THERMFOAM „BLUE LINE“ is excluded from this requirement.

The very user-friendly ISO-TOP THERMFOAM “BLUE LINE” for a healthy living environment

ISO-TOP THERMFOAM „BLUE LINE“ was tested against the EMICODE® criteria by the Gemeinschaft Emissionskontrollierte Verlegewerkstoffe, Klebstoffe und Bauprodukte e.V. (GEV) [Alliance for emission-controlled installation products, adhesives and construction products]. It was certified as “very low-emission” and awarded the EC1PLUS seal. Consumers, skilled trades and architects can thus be sure that the product offers maximum certainty against ambient air contamination, maximum health protection and high environmental sustainability.

Another positive feature is that this sustainable product contains no potentially harmful or environmentally damaging chlorinated paraffins, halogens or plasticisers. The environmentally and health-friendly construction foam also fulfils DGNB quality levels 1-4 as defined by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen (German association for sustainable construction).

Low emmissions-always: Ideal for interior renovations and window replacements!

Versatile use

The user-friendly, closed-cell expanding foam can be used to sustainably seal expansion joints and cavities when installing windows, doors and roller shutter boxes.

With its outstanding technical properties, the PUR foam is also ideal for filling and insulating joints and cavities in loft conversions and roof insulation projects to provide both heat and sound insulation. It adheres to almost all construction surfaces such as concrete, masonry, stone, sand-lime brick, brick, wood, corrosion-protected metal and plastics.

The sustainable all-rounder for sealing, filling and foam-filling

Once it has cured, the foam can be plastered, painted or bonded over as required. This means that many smaller wall recesses and openings, cable feed-throughs and cavities can be simply and quickly sealed. Empty cans can be recycled free of charge via the PDR system.

The single-component, self-expanding polyurethane foam is non-rotting, is highly resistant to moisture and ageing and offers a very fine cell structure.

Another important benefit is that ISO-TOP THERMFOAM „BLUE LINE“ is of a stable consistency and therefore does not sag. It also has outstanding dimensional stability, i.e. no shrinkage or subsequent elongation once cured.

The foam was tested to the FEICA guidelines and complies with the requirements of the Building Energy Act and the recommendations of the RAL "installation guide”. As evidence of the lasting quality, ISO-Chemie offers a 10-year functional warranty on the product.

Dispensing gun and cleaner

For efficient use of the PUR spray foam, ISO-Chemie supplies a high-quality dispensing gun with fully non-stick coating. The ISO-TOP GUN has a 4-fold seal and offers particularly easy adjustment of the dosing needle with its end stop function. The rubber-coated handle and trigger guarantee a safe grip and optimum handling.

ISO-TOP CLEANEX is recommended for simple and effective cleaning of the inside of PUR spray foam guns. The cleaner is also ideal for completely removing fresh, still wet and uncured PU residues from various metal, plastic and timber surfaces.
